Ahom Kingdom

Ahom kingdom was established in 1228 betwee the Dikhau and the Dihing rivers.
Ahom kingdom was founded by Sukaphaa.
It was in the Brahmaputra valley in Assam state of India.
Charaideo, Garhgaon, Rangpur were the capitals of the Ahom kingdom.
It was Hindu religious kingdom.
After the defeat of Burmese in the First Anglo-Burmese war the control of Ahom kingdom was passed into the British East India Companay by the Treaty of Yandabo in 1826.
Purandar singha was the last ruler of Ahom Kingdom.
