Eastern Ganga Dynasty

Eastern Ganga Dynasty was founded by Anantavarman Choda Ganga in 1078 A.D.
This dynasty ruled Odisha and parts of West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh.
The capital of Eastern Ganga Emire was Kalinganagar(modern Srimukhalingam) in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh.
The capital of Eastern Ganga kingdom was shifted from Kalinganagar to Cuttack in 12th Centuary.
Anantavarman Choda Ganga built famous Jagannatha temple at Puri of Odisha state.
The famous Konark Sun Temple at Konark in Odisha was built by Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty.
